Board Meetings in 2013 added Wednesday, December 12, 2012
The Board of Directors meets regularly to conduct the ordinary business of the Association. Meetings are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. at Thoreau Middle School, Room 113 on the following dates in 2013:

January 8
March 12
April 9
May 14
June 11
August 13
September 10
October 8.

All homeowners are welcome to attend the Board meetings and address the board with questions or concerns. The meeting dates listed here have been scheduled but occasionally a meeting will need to be rescheduled because not enough Board members are available to achieve a quorum to conduct business. In those cases we will attempt to reschedule the meeting within the same month. The latest meeting schedule, including location will always be posted here on the website. HOA Dues Assessment for 2013 added Wednesday, December 12, 2012
The Dunn Loring Village Homeowners Association assessment for 2013 has been set at $1,150 per unit.

The assessment may be paid semi-annually or annually:

Two Installments: Two semi-annual installments of $575 each due by February 1 and July 1, 2013.

One Installment: Owners may choose to make a single payment of $1,150 for the year which would be due by February 1, 2013.

Billing Statements: Semi-annual billing statements will be mailed approximately 3 weeks before the due dates to the address on file with the Association. While most HOA members receive these in the mail without incident, please contact the Property Manager at (703) 938-8761 or poa-management@cox.net if you have not received your statement in the mail one week before the due date. Additionally, please mark the semi-annual due dates on your calendar, as failure to receive the statement is not an acceptable reason for a waiver of the late charge.

After a 30-day grace period from the due dates listed above, a $35 late charge plus interest at the rate of 6% per annum is added to overdue accounts.

On-line payment options: If paying by mail, please use the tear off statement and the envelope provided. Note that the mailing address for payments is not the Merrifield Post Office Box used for all other correspondence. Any payments sent to that address will be returned to sender. The address for making payments is: Dunn Loring Village HOA; c/o POA Management, P. O. Box 105007, Atlanta, GA 30348-5007.

Please consider taking advantage of the easy on-line payment options available. Visit the HOA website at www.dlvhoa.org Click the on-line payment option at the top of the home page and it will direct you to the Smartstreet website, the platform for making on-line payments. When accessing Smartstreet via the HOA website, the Dunn Loring Village HOA will automatically fill in as your HOA of choice. Homeowners may either pay by credit card (a $9.95 fee per transaction) or make one-time payments (no fee) or set up recurring payments (no fee). If setting up recurring payments, homeowners will need to create their own user name and password.

Other: If you use your bank's on-line bill pay service which generates a check sent to the Atlanta Post Office Box, please allow at least 5 business days for processing. Why? Because a payment sent to the lockbox service without a coupon must be manually processed by the bank. Without a coupon, which has your unique account number bar-coded on it, they must research your HOA and who it is managed by. Then, they have to scan the check and email it to POA Management for verification that the payment is for one of the units in Dunn Loring Village. After that verification, the payment is processed. This manual process takes time and will delay the posting of your check. POA Management applies late fees based on if the payment has been processed and posted to the HOA account by the end of the 30-day grace period. This will not happen if you send in a check without a coupon 2 days before the end of the grace period. Please allow enough time for your check to be processed. This is why we encourage all homeowners to pay through the Smartstreet service.
